Quick Order/Order Upload Searchability

Currently, quick order/order upload only searches manufacturer part number, UPC, customer part number, and our part number. It does not search keywords. If a manufacturer's part number contains dashes but the customer does not enter that part number with dashes, the item is not uploaded, and vice versa. This defeats the purpose of QUICK order if data is stored differently for a customer. I suggest searching keywords be included for quick order/order upload as it is for general site searching to make this functionality more effective.

    Hi Sara,

I'm looking for all versions of a part number to be considered. Right now, we have parts with dashes and parts without dashes. For example, 70A-101-27 is a manufacturer part number. But, the customer might enter it on their spreadsheet as 70A10127. It fails with that format but will add to cart as 70A-101-27. I'm just looking for punctuation to be removed from the comparison.

We do not currently have this on our current roadmap, but I am interested in hearing from the community on this topic. I will keep this in mind as a possible future enhancement. The intent of matching specific product fields was to reduce the liklihood that multiple products would be found based on one search term to allow for 'matching'.

Would you want a different keyword field for Quick Order vs the existing field for keywords? Reasoning is that I imagine a specific quick order keyword/alternate product number field would allow this to be narrowed without introducing too many terms that would normally be used for standard searches on the website.
