Clearing a single URL from the CDN cache

We would like the ability to clear a single URL in the CDN cache. When images and documents are replaced in globalassets it takes up to 12 hours until the correct file is available. While a work around of clearing all the cache is available, that affects our performance.

Is there any update on this? The API exists within Cloudflare, be good to understand why this can't be used directly.

So... it's almost 2024 now. Where did that roadmap go? :)

This would be of great use! If a editor needs to remove a document, for example of GDPR-reasons, the CDN-cache keeps the file until either the cache expires or the full cache is purged. By being able to purge a single url this would managed in a much better way.

Hi Michael and others, this is still high in our radar. It didn’t make it into the 2022 radar but it’s a very strong contender for 2023 alongside other edge/CDN capabilities.

John Håkansson did this make the 2022 roadmap?

Ideally this would automatically happen via the Cloudflare API when a new item is published. Is it possible for customers to obtain a generated Cloudflare API key like we do for SendGrid?
